The Left currently loves to use the war in Afghanistan as a political hammer to bludgeon the Iraq war and Bush. If only we weren't bogged down in Iraq, they say, we could send more troops to Afghanistan and fight the real enemy that attacked us. But mark my words: As soon as the Iraq war winds down (and it will during the next president's term, regardless if it is Obama or McCain), the Left's supposed enthusiasm for the Afghanistan war will dissipate quickly. As Rich Lowry put it, right ...

I've thought the media has been part of the liberal campaign for a very long time. Take BO's trip to the Middle East for example. All 3 news anchors are accompanying him and will be reporting daily on this trip. He'll get more free advertising the McCain can afford to buy.

And why? Perhaps the answer appears in the article.

The Obama Recession?

Economics -- to most people as useful a course of study as ancient Bulgarian literature -- is really the study of human behavior. ...

An ad campaign to bring back skilled workers is upbeat, creative

The story goes that a man died and went to heaven. St. Peter showed him around, and the man was impressed by how happy everyone was, except for one group of angels who were chained.

St. Peter saw the look of puzzlement on the man's face and said, "Oh they're from West Virginia. Sixty billion dollars in shareholder value vaporized as if it never existed.

Lately the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation made the back pages of the news when the Treasury Department took steps to prevent the collapse of both semi-private corporations.
