My initial thought was that he was from LRT's board. There were a couple of guys over there that kept saying they were going to 'come give it to Sammy'. I was curious.

I remember Brian well. I have always liked him. And he has received probably more undeserved grief than probably anyone else on this or the former Gazette forums.
I remember one poster by the name of Tim Beasley who used Brian as his personal theological whipping boy until DanRad kicked Tim off the Gazette forum- permanently as I recall.

Yes, I remember Lex. He was on the most recent Gazette forums on and off. Last I recall, he left in somewhat of a huff- seemingly because some of us did not allow his Catholic theological doctrine the dignity he thought it deserved.

I think he had a zealous Catholicism about him; my background in Catholic Theology made him apoplectic. I remember him pretty angrily fighting me regarding Haiti and Aristide in particularly.

Yes, I think your memory regarding his background is accurate. I read an interesting book about Haitians in the Dominican Republic this summer...
