Carolyn Long, superintendent of Braxton County schools, would make an ideal leader for the West Virginia University Board of Governors, one BOG member said.
Did you see this one, Sam?

Yup, I read that this morning.
And got a chuckle out of it.
After 3 or 5 years as Superintendent of BCS, I haven't seen or heard anything that would qualify her as "an ideal leader" of even the Braxton County Schools.
She is an "Insider" and it is ....... same ole, same ole ..... as usual.
She lives over at Little Birch, was a teacher, then Principal of Little Birch Elementary and then hired as Superintendent.
Her husband, Harold V. Long, ran a trucking company, owned a company called Product Distributors and was once an elected member of the House of Delegates, 23rd District.
He was killed in that "sight seeing" plane crash in the northern part of the state 5+ years ago.
Carolyn and her son worth plenty money now.
