Legalizing prostitution in West Virginia would pay off all the unfunded debt that the Democrats have obligated the Taxpayers for. It would also guarantee a Budget Surplus every year ...... as well as the reduction or voiding of many taxes that are now being collected. Unemployment and welfare would be drastically reduced.

Put the tax burden on the backs of the "working females" and with a 50% B&O Tax on gross income ..... the debt will quickly slide away and the good times will roll.

I favor legalizing prostitution.

HOWEVER......I don't think their income should be taxed at a greater rate than anyone else. (Now that I would have said a decade ago)

Ya have to promise that 50% or the Legislators would not agree with legalizing it.

Right now prostitution goes on but none of the revenue generated is accessable to them, but the vast majority of them are idiots with their heads too far up their butts to figure that out.

I would suggest slapping a "sin" tax on the transactions payable by the Johns to fund testing and treatment for the prostitutes.

I always found WVA to be sort of a dichotomy--the Bible belt's northern outpost with "adult bookstores" right on the border, and in Jefferson, l'aissez les bon temps roulez!

I believe prostitution to be wrong, just as I believe that polluting your body with mind altering substances to be wrong. But I like the idea of taxing them very much indeed. Let some of the money already going to this practice fund the government and lessen the burden on those not involved. Income redistribution from the wicked to the righteous. I also like Stephanie's idea of testing funded by the Johns.

I don't like the criminalization of prostitution and weed, and those being illegal while partial-birth infanticide for depressed mothers remains legal is astounding.

And if it is pisses of NOW (and I reckon it will), then I REALLY want legal prostitution, with a "Halliburton dividend," if at all possible.

There is somewhere in Isaiah where it says "woe to those who call what is good, evil, and what is evil, good."

I believe prostitution to be morally reprehensible, but morally reprehensible acts are legal in this country, provided that only the willing participate. In abortion, the very unwilling (and the very innocent) are forced to participate.

I knew a preacher in WVA who bragged about never smoking but was caught committing adultery. I'm reminded of him whenever I read about the government wanting to ban this or that, while keeping legal infanticide.
