Stephanie, you and yours owe a total of … $24,400.00
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- If the state had to settle up its nearly $11 billion in obligations for pensions and retiree health-care benefits for public school and state employees today, the bill would come out to about $6,100 for each resident of the state.
Helmick noted that when the Legislature extended Public Employees Insurance Agency coverage to retirees, the premium for family coverage was only about $85 a month. Today, that total premium can run as much as $2,000 a month.
"No one could see the future," he said. "So today, we owe $7.8 billion."
Administration Secretary Robert Ferguson said the $4,800 per-person liability for retiree PEIA benefits is the highest per-capita deficit for retiree health benefits in the country.

But Steph, your hub's obligated debt is much higher than that, ....... because I'm not going to pay my share.
Only the tax paying workers in the private sector will be forced to pay off that debt.
Technically, public sector workers don't pay any taxes, because their pay is derived from workers in the private sector. Just like Corporations and businesses don't pay taxes, the consumers pay for their taxes.
