Anybody bummed about Noah Cottrill's defection?

Some but in the end I think they'll get over it. The coach got dogged pretty good for what he said but he was going on what Noah had been saying for over a year when these rumors first started.
I know Noah and coach is right, he'll regret it down the road. His older brother led Poca to their only state championship (in Basketball-we've got five in football including 3 in a row and the best AA team bar none in the early 90's) and now he's walking away from that. People say it's no big deal but Noah always seemed to make a big deal about it. I won't be suprised if he doesn't come back to Poca for his senior season for that very reason.

Don't Poca and Magnolia always tangle for the championship in both basketball and football? Don't the Cottrills come from Clay County?

I'm not sure where they are from. I know their dad Rick Sr. was an all state football player that walked on up at WVU.
And I think Poca and Magnolia met several times in the playoffs several times in the but they never played in the championship game. They've only made the state tournament in basketball twice, in 97 and 2002 that I know of. I think they may have beaten Magnolia in both tournaments.
