Pinnacle of Journalism
The New York Times is the most renowned and respected newspaper in the United States. How sad is it to behold what the Times has become?

If you act now you can buy the commemorative Obama coffee cup with a reprint of the January 8 front page. And they wonder why they are losing readers...

The Nation's "Newspaper of Record" took the TSA to task for their failure to buy more of the "puffer" machines that allegedly detect traces of explosives on passengers:

Now that the machines have proven susceptible to subtle changes in humidity and the tiniest of dust particles, the TSA has suspended the program:

The New York Times is mysteriously silent about the whole controversy since having published their initial rant. They are about as unlikely as Newsweek to criticize the inept Obama administration leaving it to the much-maligned Fox News to report serious news.

The government has been slow to buy so-called puffer machines that blow air on passengers to look for traces of explosive materials, and it has severely cut its budget for research on new detection methods

They also break down when exposed to dirt or humidity, the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement released Thursday. Since 2005, maintaining the machines cost the government more than $6 million.

Perhaps the mugs are being sold to make up for all the revenue they're losing along with readers.
