Ultrasounds like baloney to me!

To the Editor
The day before Halloween, Professor Carol Sanger – with an eerily similar name as the eugenics advocate and founder of Planned Parenthood (Margaret Sanger) – is coming to the WVU College of Law, October 30th. Sanger will sing a scary song sung blue. Here is how WVU (http://law.wvu.edu/fisher09) is summarizing the lecture:
"According to Professor Sanger “Mandatory ultrasound intrudes upon that protected area of decision making in several respects. First, simply by virtue of having an ultrasound, a pregnant woman is promoted into the category of mother and it is against this conscripted status that she must proceed. Second, unlike other compulsory forms of abortion disclosure, the statutes require the woman to use her body to produce the very information intended to dissuade her from pursuing an abortion. The resulting fetal image is intended as a self-evident statement about the meaning of human life.”
Perhaps the eminently knowledgeable Ms. Sanger could inform us as to when life begins, how that a baby magically becomes a baby when the mother is murdered or killed in an accident; and, how a woman's so-called Constitutional right to privacy guarantees that an aborted unborn baby is not human, not even alive and cannot feel pain. Ms. Sanger, if it is not a baby, the woman is not pregnant. Right?

I went to the website Terry posted and read what she had to say. If I read it right and I think I did, what she is saying is that a woman should not be required to have and ultrasound before and abortion because having the ultrasound will show that the fetus is a human being. By having the ultrasound, the woman considering abortion cannot make an informed decision.
It ain't no wonder this nation is in the shape it is in.

Why should you have to pay for an unnecessary procedure that is unrelated to the procedure that you are there for?
An ultrasound is not necessary for abortions, in most circumstances.
Early on, human embryos look more like lizards than people, BTW.
