Religions are 'Scams,'
A new advertisement in Alabama by a national atheist group is reportedly declaring religions to be "scams."
The Huntsville ad -- produced by the American Atheists -- displays the message "You know they're all scams" alongside pictures of religious symbols, such as Islam's crescent moon and star, the cross and the Jewish star, according to the Christian Post.
The billboard also claims that the national group has been "telling the truth since 1963."
The American Atheists define "scam" as a fraudulent business scheme or ploy to intentionally mislead a person, usually with the goal of financial gains, the Post reports.
According to the group, "all religions make lots of promises about an afterlife that doesn't exist."

Sam, what scientific proof do you have that there is no afterlife?
It is reported that the first cosmonaut to spacewalk for the USSR in the early sixties said when he opened the hatch and looked into deep space, "I don't see God." (If he had opened the face-mask on his helmet, he would have seen God!)

About as much scientific proof as you have that there is an afterlife.
Which is zilch, zero, nada, none, ZERO.
Now TH, iffen you want to believe there is an afterlife of some sort, that's fine with me. Whatever "turns your crank".
I just don't think or believe that it is sensible, reasonable or logical for one to convince themselves that what they were nurtured to believe is unquestionable.
Of course, therein lies the quandhrey.
If one is nurtured to NEVER question certain or specific things, then it is mentally impossible for them to do said, ........ unless they themselves re-nurture them self.
Or, a severe enough environmental stimuli causes their subconscious mind to immediately re-nurture itself.

YUP, you are right.
Like "fallin in" and then "fallin out" ........ of love.
Sometimes it happens "lickety split" ......... and sometimes it takes months or years.

As you may have noticed, I have a bit of problem proofing my own stuff.
