Rapture this Saturday?

Post by Keli on Fri May 20, 2011 2:57 am

The rapture (I Thess. 4:13-18) is not going to happen Saturday. IF I'm wrong about it not happening on Saturday. Please disregard this post.

I think all Camping is doing is ruling out one day, since as we know "no man knows the day or the hour."

I can't tell you if the rapture will be Sunday or Monday, but I bet it won't be Saturday. I wonder how everything will look to this fellow on Sunday morning.

A few thoughts on the matter -

First, you can called the reference in 1 Thes 4: 13-18 the "rapture", the "Final Judgement" or "Split Pea Soup" for that matter. What is said in those 6 verses is that Jesus will return one day. I find it very interesting that no one mendtioned 1 Thes 5: 1-14. The Apostle Paul states very clearly that Jesus' second coming will be as a "thief in the night". That whole point is to be prepared.

Secondly, I have no clue who Camping is, nor do I care. I get a charge out of people who say they have found some code in the bible. They haven't because none exists. I have an friend who tried to tell me all the things the bible contains in some code. However, his code falls apart if he uses a differing translation of the bible than the King James.

Third Jesus will come back when time is right not before nor after. It may be tomorrow, it maybe 10,000 years from now, or it could come in the next second, no one knows. As Paul says in 1 Thes 5:1-14 be alert, be sober minded, and be prepared.

Many follow after the likes of Camping and others who make these predictions. That is their choice. We are each told to work out our own salvation in trembling. That is basically saying we are each responsibile for our selves and what choose to believe. Some believe Jesus Christ to be a fairy tales, and that is indeed their choice. Some believe in premillinialism, again that is their choice. Additionally their are a variety of beliefs out there. We are told in 2 Timothy 2:15 that there is a correct way to understand scripture. It is so sad that for whatever reason some many choose to make it say wha thtey want instead of what is really being said.

Anyways that is my opinion, take it for what it is worth.

I think the Zombie Apocalypse begins on Saturday.

I have some teens who are way too into zombies. Really.

What I don't know is whether zombies like teenagers.

Well, I'm headed out to enjoy this beautiful day on my bike. The way I figure, if the end has come, there's no better way to meet my maker. See you on the other side.
