Occupy Wall Street comes to Wheeling! Both confirmed attendees promise professionally-made signs adequately demonstrating just how "mad as hell" they are...

They're "occupying" Huntington tomorrow! Seems there is already drama!

It has come to our attention that a known white supremacist, George Holderby, is planning on attending the Occupy Huntington rally. As organizers, we are concerned with this as the event is explicitly anti-racist/anti sexist/anti homophobic. We are concern for other people in attendance who will feel threatened by this and for possible press coverage that will reflect on the whole of the group and movement. We would like to put it to the group and handle this situation before the rally to avoid any unnecessary distraction from our goal and potential confrontation. Alright, how would the group like to deal with this situation?

The "rally" in Chicago was comedic, and everyone who wanted to carry a picket (for anything) was there. Lots of drums and noisemakers; very few showers.

I'm not a fan of the FED--I think it should be abolished. However, when I saw the unguided youth marching in front of it, I had to take a tour. They even gave every visitor a baggie of shredded cash. I called my wife and told her that I got her 347 dollars, but there was bad news. She didn't think that was funny at all!

Hi Zig,

I disagree with their voices so I'm adding mine. I surely agree with their right to protest.

10-4 on adding your own voice, Sheik.

I just find it amusing that the political right says these folks are misguided (or "unguided") and have no real prospect of changing the system they protest against, but while obsessed with contempt for them. If they are so unguided and ineffective, why do the right wing commentators exhibit so much visceral contempt for them?

Whether "teapartiers" or "occupiers", they are but a mostly harmless social / political novelty.

What examples are there of "small businesses bring crippled by the OWS loons"?

A local McDonald's has been nearly shut down by the OWS prolific pee-ers. They ripped a sink off the wall and the line to pee stretches nearly a city block.

A Moroccan-national chicken kabob kiosk finds that his regular customers are staying off the sidewalks at lunchtime and may have to go out of business.

Remember how shermangeneral advocated for the "little people"? They don't get much littler than a Moroccan kabob vendor.
