Braxton County experiences two more earthquakes

Two more small earthquakes rumbled through Braxton County. One on Sugar Creek and the other near Herold.

The U.S. Geological Survey’s website showed a 2.6 magnitude quake struck at 9:36 Wednesday night, April 28th, on Sugar Creek, with an approximate depth of 0.1 km and was followed by a 2.7 magnitude earthquake at 8:38 am Thursday, April 29th, near Herold, with an estimated depth of 5 kilometers. The first earthquake, a 2.8 magnitude struck April 4, Easter Sunday.

That was 3, ..... but we got hit again yesterday, to wit:

The USGS first reported this one and then cancelled the Report after the mine blew up at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 5th, to wit:

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 2.9-magnitude earthquake in Logan County on March 27. The epicenter was about 7 miles from Man.”
