Jim Cramer
Cramer basically said the other day that Wall Street wants Obama because nobody believes in trickle-down anymore, becaus eit has failed. He also said that the "tax-and-spend" liberal label won't work because Obama targets those making over $250K, a group nobody feels sorry for.
Is the end of Reaganomics finally over?

Re: Jim Cramer
SFCraig,
What will you do for me when Obama raises my taxes on my family's 36000 dollar income this year? Say "it's for my own good?"
I suppose taxing the rich is fine, my fear is that the definition of rich is going to mean "everybody who works." My last tax increase came as a starving grad student in the Clinton administration with my payroll tax increase.

Re: Jim Cramer
I hate to admit it: I've never heard of Jim Cramer. That's not entirely true - I knew a Jim Kramer who sold valves in Cleveland. I don't think it's the same guy...

Re: Jim Cramer
Jim Kramer's award winning radio show "Valves in Cuyahoga County and beyond" can be heard of 3 stations in the greater Cleveland area, except when preempted by Jorge Jurvenson's "Polka Hour."

Re: Jim Cramer
Did you see the special on the ball valves of Euclid? It was memorable. Then there was the one about American Waterworks valves with the bronze trim on the iron bodies. May not seem too romantic but if you go to shut off your gate valve at 3 AM and it won't positively shut off, you'll be glad you spent the extra money on the IBBM...
The polka hour is good, too.

Euclid is very proud of their big, brass, ball valves. Right now it's saving the city.

Re: Jim Cramer
Actually to get to Euclid you take I-90 to exit 187, and then take a left and go back 20 years.
Which is exactly why I like it. Do you ever get up that way? On E 185th there's a place called Muldoon's which up to a couple of years ago was still on the honor system for paying for lunch.

Did you see his plan re: Social Security? Lift the payroll caps on those making $250K or more.
Also, endorsed by Volcker and Donaldson: http://www.nowpublic.com/world/obama-endorsed-3-former-sec-chairs
Trickle-on economics is coming to a close. The stimulus checks were targeted towards the bottom. Art Laffer can finally throw away his cocktail napkins!

Re: Jim Cramer
Lift the payroll caps? Aren't they set at 90,000 dollars or so? Are you suggesting that the caps should exist for those between 90 K and 250K and then kick in again? Why does that make any sense?

Re: Jim Cramer
So if they lift the caps on income over $250K, does that mean those that make over $250K get higher SS when they draw? They should since how much you receive is based on how much you pay in.
If BO or any other socialist liberal dumba$$ wants to help SS, simply make it a need based program. Ross Perot suggested that back in 92 and questioned why he was elegible for SS.
The only thing we can be thankful for is that dems won't get to 60 Senators.
