The Root Cause of Autism Empty The Root Cause of Autism

LONDON - British children's brain development is being threatened by their failure to work with their hands in school and at home, said a report released on Monday.

With woodwork, metalwork, craft, music or car mechanic classes dropped by many schools and children wanting to play computer games at home, the UK is becoming a "software instead of a screwdriver society," said the report, commissioned by the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust.

"Working with one's own hands in a real-world 3-D environment is imperative for full cognitive and intellectual development," said the report's author Dr. Aric Sigman.

"Research is showing that increasing time spent in the virtual world of computers is displacing hands-on play and hands-on learning. (They forgot to include "watching TV".)

"That allows young people to experience how the world works in practice, to gain an understanding of materials and processes and to make informed judgments about abstract concepts."

The report cited examples of 11-year-olds with deficits in certain areas of their cognitive development and a decline in the ability of young engineers and apprentices to conceptualize straightforward mechanical problems.

If a child's early participation in their environment is primarily that of a "spectator", ......... then they will be severely limited in their ability to engage in social intercourse as they mature through their juvenile and teen years.

And that is because, being a "spectator" does not require, .... and/or teach one, .... to respond to any environmental stimuli.

Aka: speak to an "autistic diagnosed child" ........ and they may or may not 'look at you", ....... and if they do they may not respond because they do not realize they are expected to.

DUH, a TV set does not want or expect a "response" to the programming it is transmitting, .......... it is only the Advertisers that do.

And said Advertisers are really successful at getting what they want.

So, if you want an "autistic diagnosed child" to respond to you, ....... offer them something they have repeatedly seen advertised on TV.

The McMac "Happy Meal" use to be the "icon" of response "getters".

cheers
