Recently we discussed having a knowledgeable electorate and the means to get there (I was right, others were wrong but this thread is not about that) to ensure we are choosing the right people.

What good is it though if the candidates don’t make their views known and all one has to go on is the power puff stuff they release?

State candidates fail to share positions

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A majority of West Virginia's congressional and legislative candidates have so far failed to share their positions on key issues with a national nonpartisan pre-election education effort.

But that has not stopped Project Vote Smart from offering a detailed rundown of at least some of the state's federal hopefuls in advance of November.

Just two of the seven active congressional candidates had responded to the group's Political Courage Test by last week's deadline. They are Marty Gearheart, the Mercer County businessman challenging Rep. Nick Rahall in the state's 3rd District; and Jay Wolfe, in a rematch against Sen. Jay Rockefeller.

The response rate was equally poor among state legislative candidates, with 58 out of 260 participating.
