If the McCain/Palin camp let this go through, it will be so they have an excuse when Sarah screws the debate by speaking in tongues (RE: most of her interviews)

I'm quite sure that if the McCain campaign thinks she's blatantly partisan it won't take them long to get ads out saying so.

I've seen at least 3 ads blaming Obama for the current situation and I only get two channels.

First On TVNewser: PBS' Gwen Ifill has broken her ankle after tripping and falling down stairs at her home last night, a NewsHour insider tells TVNewser. We're told Ifill had been walking up a staircase, carrying research related to her moderating duties at Thursday's Vice Presidential debate in St. Louis, when she took a wrong step.

We are also told the show will go on: Ifill is planning to travel to Missouri for the big event.

McCain campaign should do some damn homework...

Regardless, they know now and there is time to pick a new mod.

Really, how much harm can it do, unless her question is "Sen. Biden, please tell us why you are so awesomely awesome and will do such an awesome job..." and then lets him talk for 15 min. and gives Palin 5 min.?

This is a non-story and excuse for the Palin supporters to whine.

I think this mod should recuse herself for that very reason.

I am not going to whine. I will probably laugh when Obiden says, "Let's give Gwen a hand--stand up, Gwen!"

The expectations have become so low, Palin will be considered a winner if she manages to locate the venue...

Meanwhile, every comment of Biden's will be sifted with a fine-toothed comb.

You're citing a consertative bloggers opinion here TerryH. It's an opinion. I'm sure there are liberal bloggers that could be cited that feel the opposite as this blogger.

I'm certainly not liberal and even I think you're making way too much out of this. She's asking questions for crying out loud. If Palin's getting dished, then part of being a politician is to deal with it and counter. It's a debate after all.

Although I think Ifill will be even-handed in her questioning, releasing a book titled "The Age of Obama" on Inauguration Day is clearly a huge conflict of interest, regardless of whether it is pro-Obama or not. How well do you think that book will sell if Obama loses? That's quite a financial stake in the outcome of this election.

PBS says that Ifill is writing a book about Obama--but, she hasn't written the chapter about Obama yet.... However, this book will be released on Inauguration Day.
Talk about procrastination! I thought that I was bad...

This book is about the history of black politicians. It isn't even specifically about Obama.

Also, Ifill was pretty evenhanded in doing her job.
