If Barr's votes had gone to Palin and her running mate they would have won North Carolina and Indiana. North Carolina: Obama 49.9%, Palin 49.5%, Barr 0.6$ Indiana Obama 49.9%, Palin 49%, Barr 1.1% This would have been more important in a closer election, but it caught my interest when I looked the figures up.

You are assuming that Barr votes would otherwise have voted for McCain/Palin, which is often but not always so.

Well for one thing that's who Barr campaigned against.

You can always go back and say "what if"?

It is just like the Dems whining that Nader lost the election for Gore.

Most of those who voted for Nader would not have voted for Gore absent Nader, imo.

They just would not have voted for Pres.

That is just my take on it, and I can sometimes be wrong... Rolling Eyes
