Did Obama help his national campaign in SC?

Well on the face of it, Barrack Obama scored a big victory.
But when you check the demographics, I am not so sure.
In the earlier states, Obama pulled a lot more of the white vote.
It looks like he is letting himself be marginalized as the "black candidate".
That's ok in the South Carolina Dem. Primary.
But what other Dem Primary can you win with just the black vote.?
Ol Bill and Hillary have survived the dirty republican gutter fighters for 20 years so dont write them off just yet.
The media is making a big to do again just like in Iowa because they like a fairy tale story.
But what they fail to report is that Jessee Jackson won the Dem primary in 1988 and if I remember right he got even a bigger share of the vote than Obama did this time.
And another story still to be told is who won amongst white voters in SC?
It looks to me like it was Edwards, but in any event the story is still playing out.
I won't be surprised if history shows it was a big mistake for him to go all out to get the black vote in SC at the expense of marginalizing himself.

From what I read this morning, Hillary won the White vote. The only thing Edwards won was his home county, where he was born.
You're right Sherm, Bill and Hillary aren't dumb. They knew what they were doing when they injected race into this race. We'll find out how well it worked in 10 days.

A lot of things are going to have to change, considering Hilldog's got a 15 point lead. I honestly think at the end of the day, Clinton sacrificed SC for other states. Only time will tell how successful that strategy is.
