A question about global warming Empty A question about global warming

This is a veiw from the levee above my apratment where I'm now living.

A question about global warming 800px-cincinnati-skyline-from-kentucky-shore-night

I was wondering on my way to work this morning looking at all the buildings lit up and the baseball field with blue lights, how much energy is all of this using. If you look at the one building directly above and to the left of the baseball stadium, it's completely lit up. Seems to me that instead of telling us what kind of car to drive, perhaps the government, from federal to state to local should worry about their own energy usage.

Aaron, don't be screwing around n' causing problems for the electricity providers, ..... they are in business to make money.

And besides, most every light you see burning in that picture is a ........ tax deductible business expense. And what isn't ........ is paid for by your tax dollars ...... now that you are working there.

Oh, by the way, ...... great picture.

I would think this would be something that would rile the liberals into a frenzy. I'm suprised they've hid from this subject.

It is a real city. And I can't wait until it warms up so I can get out and explore the city.

I don't know for sure that I'm going to be able to visit home this summer. I hope to. I know I'm going to Indianapolis for sure. We're going to take the kids to the King Tut exhibit. That must be a pretty decent sized city.

I'm not a big lover of cities except for the museums and cultural events. I haven't seen a "real" city since I picked Kate up from Materials Camp in Cleveland back in August.

Indy's a decent size city. You'll enjoy it.

I'm looking forward to getting out and doing a lot of walking this summer. I might even drop a pound or two.

I'm not a "liberal" but I'll bite.

Lighting curfews and gradual replacement of high watt fluors with led & mercury lights exist in many cities. Most "liberals" know these programs and legislation exist. link

Of course politicians have pulled the teeth of similar legislation, making the rules vague and difficult to enforce.

Light pollution has been around for awhile and MUCH discussed among "liberals".

Makes it difficult to see the Milky Way. I'd like to see it reduced.

"Purty", just like ugly, is in the eye of the beholder.
