McCain declares victory, ready for Dems.

Well it sure looks like he is right, but it seems to defy logic.

Can McCain/Huckabe beat the Dems?

I have no idea who he would choose as a running mate but I can't see it being Huckabee.

Thompson maybe, but not Huckabee.

The only reason I could see why he would pick Thompson would be to make himself look more youthful and vigorous...

Actually I think this is one year where the VP can and will make a huge difference. I know there was a ton of talk on the democratic side about Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton. I personally don't see it happening but you never know.

On the Republican side, I have no idea who Romney or McCain would nominate. I am suprised that none have even been questioned about possible running mates.
