When she sided against the Appeal by the "white" NYC Firefighters that were seeking relief from being discriminated against when they were refused promotions within their ranks, ...... she confirmed the fact that she was/is a racist.

The Bush administration nominated and appointed more minorities than the lily-white Klinton Regime. How or why has GOP opposition been framed as "racist" and not "sexist?" She is as much female as she is Nuyorican.

Look at her voting record. Yes, she is to the left of Hitler and Limbaugh, but who isn't?

She is a "centrist" in the same way that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is, having stated policy-making roles of circuit courts and a preference for Latinas over Blancos.

However, Terry, I think she may not be as revolting as some of the others. What decisions of hers leads you to ascribe the title centrist to her?

She defended the protesting rights of anti-abortion protesters and upheld the right for the fed to cut funding to overseas clinics that provide abortions, for starters.

As to the comments about Latinas vs white males, do you think that if a white male had made the opposite argument that he would stand a chance in hades?

I'm not saying that this should necessarily be fatal to her nomination, I'm just seeing a double standard.

Listen, SheikBen! It's like Obama's top spokesman, Robert Gibbs, told reporters about Sotomayor: "I think she'd say that her word choice in 2001 was poor." (She was using a TurboTax-type e-dictionary when she had that hiccup). SO, get over it. Obama won! Whatever he does is the way it is going to be!
