Oh, yeah, the deficit is two trillion dollars higher than the last estimate we had. We'll deal with that when we get back...

O for the day we had a Leader who would stand and take responsibility.+

The last ones I can remember are Truman and Eisenhower.

Deficit schmeficit! It doesn't matter to these clowns. They don't care because they aren't going to pay for it.

I don't remember Truman or Eisenhower. I would like to see members of Congress stand up and take responsibility for their roles in this nightmare.

Actually we are all going to pay for it before this mess is over with. Just as households can't continue to spend more than they take in, the nation can't either. I really think we are seeing the beginning now with the dollar worth no more than it is.

As far as the bums in congress and/or the president taking responsibility, when you have absolutely no principles about them, so don't hodl your breath. Now I hope you are beigning to see why I stress guiding prinicples and moral value like I do. It isn''t to require conversion to christianity, though that would be nice, it is however, to have honest mena nd women in office who have charactor and moral value and live by those values.

The average age of a US Senator is 63 years old. Do you really think they will be paying for it?

Paul Greenberg quotes HL Mencken on the topic of the Obama presidency:

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

I don't think Martha's Vineyard is the best place for Obama to be right now. Here you have a bunch of people who can believe anything they want, no matter how ridiculous, because they are too wealthy to suffer the consequences of bad policy.

Has anyone else ever been to Martha's Vineyard?
