I'm curious to know if any of the other posters have any kind of first hand experience with striking union members at a major health care facility. I do, and I assure you it jeopardized lives.

Letter to Senator Rockefeller:

If the public option will create competition and lower medical costs, then why does the US Postal Service raise its rates every year? The USPS is the public option. Right? Why does it lose money and FedEx and UPS make money?

Why won't you, other members of Congress, the President and union members be covered under the Health Care program Bill? WHy can't taxpayers enjoy the same coverage that you have--after all, we are paying for it.

That question was posed to all five of our congressional delegation as well as being made public in the media. I received no answer from Byrd, Rahall, or Mollohan. Rockefeller wrote a two page letter saying how folks in southern West Virginia lacked healthcare coverage. Capito wrote a one page letter stating that reform was needed, but never stated what she meant by reform.

You aren't going to get an answer I don't believe. If you do, it will have nothing to do with the question you asked.
