Ignorance can be fixed - Stupidity is permanent
Bugaboo: 'Socialism' fear
Republican leaders and "tea party" protesters are wielding a buzzword - socialism - as a club to whack the Obama administration.
GOP Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina (who vowed to halt universal medical care to "break" the president) calls Obama "the world's best salesman of socialism." Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says Democrats want to create "socialist republics" in America. Etc. This attack is effective, souring a lot of Americans on Democratic reforms. But the negative reaction is based on ignorance. Some don't understand that socialism simply is government programs that help society and people.

I'm not sure who has which problem of ignorance or stupidity, the Editor or the people who will believe what was stated by the author.
But I am sure that what was stated in the Editorial will do nothing to "fix ignorance" but will only exacerbate the "permanence of stupidity".
But if that was the intent,

The WV Gazette is a very unimpressive, endangered specie, and the type of drivel cited above tells us why. They are indeed ignorant propagandists, out of touch with reality and the Kanawha Valley.
