Yes, because defending our civil liberties is SO bad for us.

If you were to actually look at the history of the cases the ACLU has taken, you might find yourself modifying your opinion.

Like I said, sometimes they go a little overboard, but by and in large, they have helped to hold the fed and the states from tromping all over us in jackboots.
