Then we'll talk.

Steph, I will re-read a bit about that ......... but only if you do a bit of reading about the Balfour Agreement concerning who had to give up what.

And second, no, my opinion isn't the majority opinion. Only 28% agree with me.

Of course, that figure has no relevance when it comes to whether you are right or not. Majorities can be made to believe and think the darndest things.

Well, sure, and everyone cites the low approval of the President without asking just why that approval is low (we assume that we know but I think we are wrong). We may find reasons of disapproving of the President and the war to be just as "bad news" for the Democrats as it is for the Republicans.

Well I would hope so. At this point Democrats have been and remain the enablers of almost everything Republicans do.

On this we quite agree. Are you looking for the reason Bush got reelected? His name is John Kerry, along with the people who nominated him on the "he's not George Bush" qualifications.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, the only reason GWB is President is because he those that ran against him were much, much worse then GWB.

WOW!

We agree 3 times today already. Are we weakening our resolve in our old age, or what?

Sure, I'm ready anytime. I'm a bit tired though. Spent the evening helping my neighbor plant cabbage and tomato plants.

So why don't you tell me what you think the driving forces were behind Hitler's rise to power, Aaron. I'm waiting with bated breath.

The treaty of Versailles...but probably not for the same reasons you do. But for more detail, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. I'm tired as well and this isn't a half hour conversation.

I take it you think the treaty was too harsh?

The treaty was what lead to Hitler's rise to power. It made life impossible for the German people. Too harsh is an understatement.

Would it had been too harsh on the French of Germany had won and placed the same demands on them? That was the plan, you know?

So what about the treaty was too harsh? The territory they lost including colonies, the reparations and acceptance of for complete responsibility of the war or the restrictions placed on the military and the legal and territorial restrictions?

I'm curious because I've read where some felt that Germany came out better in 1919 then they were in 1913?
