This is about raising taxes and that's pretty much all it is. If the government is going after Exxon, why not go after Microsoft as well? They do haev a higher profit margin.

When Johnson N. Camden wanted a U.S. Senate seat from WV around 1900 John D. Rockefeller bought it for only $10,000.

I think it's ok to like Jay Rockefeller and still wish he had a different job. Apparently he has kids who like to have a little booze and a friend of mine was stuck driving his child's drunk self home one day in South Hills.

A fellow I know told me that about 1992 Jay told him that his income was "about $69,000 a day".

I don't mind John D making 69K a day. I don't begrudge anyone wealth. It bugs me that I am paying him 162500 or so to be a US Senator........

What a great point, Randall. It has become evident to me over the course of my adult life and my wanderings that there is the Truth and then there is the "truth" that is created (and therefore is no truth at all) by those with power, particularly power over information and the dissemination of it.
