That's pretty much the way it will go down.

Electoral Map Empty Re: Electoral Map

I noticed Indiana was in blue even though it was considered a toss up further down in the poll ratings. Indiana has been a conservative state.

I think your guy has a definite edge but I don't think it's as profound as you think/would like it to be. In the end I see him winning in November but it's not a slam dunk.

Indiana is only "kinda" Red. The most populous counties are reliably Democratic-ish. Smile

Fairly large African-American constituency and in Obama's backyard. They also have elected several D's as Governors and Senators. Moderates, to be sure, but still D's.

I also have a feeling that Obama's Steel Days will help him in the Rust Belt.

Further, the map is drawn as a composite of polls. Nearly every one shows Obama with a lead, although slight. However, the number of polls would indicate a victory as of today.

I don't see Obama taking Indiana. I think he is turning off a lot of people right now in the "heartland."

I think several states would flip to Obama with Hillary on the ticket.

Ohio, WV, Pa, Ark,, Indiana, and possibly Ky.

But without Hillary he will lose those states imo.

No way Obama wins Indiana.

I assume the map changes based on the latest polling? Because today (Thursday) it has McCain winning, 274-264.

The only difference between today's (Thursday August 21st) and Buch's victory in 2000 is New Hampshire is now a red state.
