The Democrats call the Sheik!

Clearly hoping to reach someone more amenable, the local democrats call the Sheik.
"For President, the two candidates are Barack Obama, the DEMOCRAT; and John McCain, the REPUBLICAN. If the election were held today, which of the two would you vote for?"
The Sheik replies that right now he is leaning third party.
"For the US House 11th District, the two candidates (note the complete rejection of any minor parties in this survey) are Debbie Halvorson, the DEMOCRAT (emphasis theirs), and Marty Ozinga, the REPUBLICAN. If the election were held today, who would you vote for?"
"Ozinga."
"Do you own a gun?"
"No, but we are very pro 2nd amendment."
"Bye."
Have the Democrats just stopped pretending they care about gun rights?
