Games People Play.....

Well it looks like I was right when I suspected the bailout opposition was a grandstanding charade.
Aaron are you still infatuated with Gingrich?

It will be interesting to see the creative "explanation" for why their votes are switching.....
Course I have been wrong before.
Just my opinion.....

That is indeed proof that you read the partisan blogs. Did we need that?

Re: Games People Play.....
Well OC do you doubt the conservatives are gonna go ahead and pass something now that they have put on a show for the true believers?
Actually I heard on the radio first about the gingrich stunt and just did a google search on "gingrich flip flop" just to confirm and that's what popped up.
I was innocent as the driven snow.

Well I guess I am being too hard on the rockribbed right they would never posture like that would they?
I dont know if you read it all but they inferred from Gingrich's antics this is the beginning of his 2012 bid for Pres.

Re: Games People Play.....
He's got a better shot of getting pregnant than being elected president.
This is still a crap sandwich. We should all be busy emailing and calling our Senators telling them to vote against this fleecing of America.

What happened to that bridge you were building? Give up on it?
Burning it is more like it.

"I like that you're partisan. I just wonder why I bend over backwards to be bipartisan when you want to come in and scratch the rooster. What happened to that bridge you were building? Give up on it?"
Well riddle me this OC.
If I am so partisan how's come I am about the only one who would even give President Bush's plan to rescue the economy a fair hearing?
And wouldn't it be a dull forum if you guys just posted "boy it sure is good having old Boosh in there huh?"
"Yep, yep, sure was bad when That dirtbag Clinton was in."
And you didnt have a couple lefties to bring you back down to earth?
Wouldn't that get old?

Re: Games People Play.....
Who here says it is good having Bush in the White House?
Bush never had a plan to rescue the economy. He has a plan to bailout swindlers and liars and cheats. Instead of standing up and saying, "We dropped the ball. We had the opportunity to prevent this crisis, but we chose to look the other way while schemers cooked the books and pilfered money from the GSE's, and while scam artists perpetrated this fraud on the American people."
I swear to you, though, the most offensive statements have come from Democrats. Meeks was pissed off at regulators? Franklin Raines provided outstanding leadership?
Holy crap, I can't think about it any more. My blood pressure is rising.
Throw the damn bums out.

I watched him on This Week with George Snuffleupagus Sherm and he said on that show, after wailing about how bad it was, that if he were in Congress, he would have to vote for the bill. He recognized then that even though it's a huge waste of taxpayer money and will not solve any problem, the implications of not passing the bill on every day Americans and credit had the potential would likely be worse. Mitchell didn't bring out anything new on Tuesday that wasn't already stated publicly by Newt on Sunday.
Yes, I'm still 'infatuated' with him as he's smarter and makes more sense then ANY democrat I've heard speak on about EVERY topic in the past year. IMO, he would make a great President.

Re: Games People Play.....
Well Aaron did you read the link where he kept trying to torpedo Boehner's efforts right up to the end and then flipflopped?
He seems sneaky to me.
I liked Huckabee best among republicans.

Re: Games People Play.....
Newt Gingrich is not a member of the United States Government and therefore doesn't answer to Republicans in general or Boehner specifically. He runs a think tank called American Solutions and what he has been doing is promoting his views.
And he didn't flip flop on anything. When ask were he in Congress on Sunday if he would vote for the bill, he said yes, he would be forced to. And then he outlined what he believes it will take to get this country out of the mess we are in and I happen to agree with him on most of his points.
As for Huckabee, he may be a Republican but he is certainly not a consertative. He is a tax and spend liberal who increased taxes in Arkansas more then Bill Clinton did. The only reason he's registered as a Republican is because he's a religious fanatic who uses the three G's to cover up for his lack of consertative values.
