Perhaps Palin's own behavior has led folks to believe just about any story about her doing something stupid.

Go to YouTube and look at a few clips of her, in the flesh, giving inane answers to some of the simplest of questions. After seeing a few of those, one has to wonder if she knows anything about either national or international politics.

She's the governor of the largest state in the nation, was a VP candidate and will likely be a force in politics for some time.

In land area, yes. By population, they rank 47th. By that criterion, there are 46 other governors more qualified. Hell, San Francisco has almost 100,000 more folks than Alaska (and you can get the best dim sum this side of Hong Kong). Does that mean that you consider Gavin Newsom more qualified?
