Re: Franken is challenging this ballot
The republicans are trying to toss out hundreds of absentee ballots Terri.
What you did not say was why the ballot was challenged.
What if it was cast by a dead man?

How would they know who cast this ballot? Aren't voters guaranteed anonimity?

Only in parts of WV do they know who cast which ballot.

Poll workers challenge ballots for a myriad of reasons.
Including discrepancies in address, minor differences in registration records such as leaving out middle initial, etc., duplicate voter, lots of reasons ballots are challenged.

Re: Franken is challenging this ballot
This ballot isn't being challenged by a poll worker. It's being challenged by Al Franken. So how would Franken know who cast this ballot?
Re: Franken is challenging this ballot
There seems to be quite a bit of challenging going on.
Campaign monitors from both sides had challenged a total of 269 votes statewide, with Coleman observers disputing 146 ballots while the Franken camp challenged 123.
