Everyone on the planet could get identical greenhouse-gas emission rights as part of a drive to halve emissions by 2050, according to a study by Chinese scientists. The work was presented on the sidelines of a UN conference on fighting global warming that is currently taking place in Poznan, Poland..."Developed countries [should] take the lead in reducing emissions," said Su Wei, head of climate change at China's National Development and Reform Commission.

Can someone explain to me why China and India were exempted from the Kyotol--"Don't pee in the pool"--Protocol? If everyone contributes to pollution, then why shouldn't everyone pay the percentage of pollution they make?

If we can charge for cattle and sheep flatus, then I say that we should tax the Chinese and Indians for their farts from curry and from stir-fried cabbage!
