anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
Feliz Batista, renowned anti-kidnapping expert was holding a seminar down in Mexico and got kidnapped....
when someone told him he had a phone call and he walked outside....
Kidnapping for ransom is a major industry in certain parts of the world.
Perhaps Felix should of taken a refresher course....

Sherm,
Given that Ms. Samuels primarily just posts links to articles on other websites, is there a reason you can't just post the link to the article?
My connection is slow, plus I don't care to patronize her website.

I couldn't find your expert kidnapper story but I did find one interesting. You can post a direct link if you so choose.
Source...and it's not Lynn Samuels even though I found the story through her site.

Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
Well guys I can't imagine how I can access this stuff with my 26K dialup and you guys can't/
But here it is:
US anti-kidnap expert kidnapped
The Mexican army is targeting gangs involved in kidnapping and drugs
A US anti-kidnapping expert who has negotiated the release of dozens of hostages in Latin America has been abducted by gunmen in Mexico.
Felix Batista, a Cuban-American from Miami, was kidnapped as he stepped outside a restaurant to answer a phone call in the northern city of Saltillo.
Drug gangs are blamed for hundreds of kidnappings in Mexico each year.
More than 5,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence between rival cartels this year.
Mr Batista is credited with negotiating the release of many kidnap victims.
He was in Saltillo, in Coahuila state, to offer advice on how to deal with kidnaps for ransom when he himself was seized last Wednesday, local authorities revealed on Monday.
Support for family
Charlie LeBlanc, president of Houston-based security firm ASI Global LLC, where Mr Batista is a consultant, said: "We have notified the FBI and Mexican authorities, and they are working on the case.
"We are offering our support to the family and hoping for the best."
He declined to say whether the kidnappers had demanded a ransom.
The US embassy in Mexico City said it was investigating and would not comment further.
Hundreds of people are kidnapped in Mexico every year.
The number of victims has increased sharply following an army-backed crackdown on drug gangs, which has forced cartels to seek new ways of making money to fund their operations.

Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
I remember you saying you couldn't post links from her site. I don't understand why. Are you trying to copy & paste the shortcuts? Are you trying to copy & paste the actual links after you open them? It seems to me if you can't do one, you should be able to do the other, but I don't know.
I have trouble getting things to work for me on Vic Sprouse's blog. So I guess I feel your pain. On his blog I can't make my name appear, no matter what I try. Also, you can't post web addresses or links, they just won't show up.
I'm just not very savvy when it comes to that sort of thing. Thanks for posting that article, but I had read it somewhere else already. Just can't recall where at the moment.

Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
All you have to do Sod is open the story, copy the web address and paste it in the "link" (looks like a small paper clip) on the top of the page you're posting your reply to.

Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
I just paste it into the text message. Does using the paper clip thingy make it somehow better?
Yeah, I guess it does make a difference
Hay Aaron, you finally told me about something useful. Thanks.

I just copy it and paste it in the text body ....... and it works just fine. The Forum software makes it "clickable".
That little paper clippy makes it easier to enter a hyper-link.
Don't forget to "highlight" what you want to copy and if you are running VISTA ........ to copy a url ..... you have to use the "copy" function under "Page" ...... and not under "Edit".

OK
I feel like Emily Latilla, even if I don't know how to spell Latilla.
Never mind.
Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
I don't think it looks like a paper clip. It's the button in between the image & font color buttons above the box you type your response into.
Re: anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped...
It apparently looks like a paper clip to some, ..... but I looked closely and it is .... 3 links of chain or 3 chain links, whichever, ....... and duh, ..... urls = links.
I feel so smart sometimes.

Well I feel so stupid sometimes.
I never tried the thing out. I always thought it looked like two old fashioned movie reels. So I thought it had something to do with videos and my connection is so slow....
