Officials said Shepherdstown Elementary School art teacher Douglas E. Hunt was caught in an Internet sex sting conducted by police in Leesburg and Loudoun County, Va.


Hunt was arrested and charged earlier this month after he responded to an e-mail on an Internet classified site that offered a sexual encounter with a 39-year-old woman and her teenage daughters. He was denied bond during an appearance in U.S. District Court in Alexandria.

Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Susan K. Wall said Friday she does not expect 51-year-old Hunt to return to the classroom where he had taught for 11 years.
