If man was created in God's image .....
If man was created in God's image, then God must be human in form. God's son Jesus, was clearly human if he was born of a woman.
Jesus certainly had hair and nipples, defining traits of mammals. All mammals, and only mammals, have hair and mammary glands.
Like nearly all other primates, Jesus had opposable thumbs, flat nails, a bipedal gait, bony eye orbits, flexible shoulder joints, a collar bone inside the pectoral girdle, and sensitive fingertips on each digit. One can only surmise that Jesus had a well-developed brain and the pendulous genitals that all male primates possess. Anyone doubting that Jesus and all humans are primates, is either wishing that they were not related to other apes and monkeys, or simply ignorant of the most elementary and self-evident facts of biology.
Anyone praying to Jesus is therefore petitioning a long-dead, probably mythical, great ape.
If humans are not great apes, then why did God create us to look, behave, reproduce, and move much like the other hominids? Why do humans suffer from many of the same diseases that they do? Why do humans and apes share the majority of their DNA? Why couldn't God come up with a more original design for humans, that would make it clear that humans are not apes and could not share a common ancestor with the other primates? Perhaps God, as an omnipotent ape, just likes primates and stuck with that idea?
Can you, as a creationist, prove that Jesus is not a primate? Semi-literate rants plagiarized from Answers in Genesis don't count.

If we evolved from apes and monkeys, why are there still apes and monkeys?
If we evolved from apes and monkeys, why don't apes and monkeys have to shave or go to the barber?
(Answer: Why do men have nipples? For the same reason that women have Adam's apples. It's part of the basic model--it is the optional packages that make a big difference.)

Except that isn't what evolution says. It says that apes, monkeys and man descended from a common ancestor.
Of course, you knew that - you just like to obfuscate.

But that common ancestor has not been found or determined, but rather the common ancestor is assumed. Is there some consensus that I am unaware of as to what this "common ancestor" was?

Missing links are found every day.
Have we found the "keystone" yet? Nope, but we are getting closer. Look. (linky clicky)
