MSNBC's Chelsea comment angers Clinton By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer

SEATTLE - A distasteful comment about Chelsea Clinton by an MSNBC anchor could imperil Hillary Rodham Clinton's participation in future presidential debates on the network, a Clinton spokesman said.

In a conference call with reporters, Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson on Friday excoriated MSNBC's David Shuster for suggesting the Clinton campaign had "pimped out" 27-year old Chelsea by having her place phone calls to celebrities and Democratic Party "superdelegates" on her mother's behalf.

Wolfson called Shuster's comment "beneath contempt" and disgusting.

"I, at this point, can't envision a scenario where we would continue to engage in debates on that network," he added.

MSNBC said Shuster, who apologized on the air for his comment, has been temporarily suspended from appearing on all NBC news broadcasts except to offer his apology.

If the Clintons want Chelsea to be hands off, they she needs to keep her nose out of this. If she's going to go out campaigning and participating in this process she needs to be a big girl and accept the consequences. They've all been around long enough to know the remarks aren't always going to be flattering.

Both Dems and GOPs have unwholesome values; however, for Democrats it is considered a resume enhancement.

This reprehensible comment about 27 year old Chelsea is being condemned by Democrats; however, the same ones who condemn this act did not find anything wrong with Paula Jones, Kathleen Willie or Juanita Broaddrick--or how it affected their parents!

Well Aaron I have to leave soon but just for the record I did not criticize the Bush daughters and did not bring them up. I believe they are irrelevant to this political discourse.

My post was directed to the other poster who was sowing the seeds of discord which bear bitter fruit.

It appears from your post that you mistakenly thought I was referring to them.

At first I thought you were doing it on purpose, but reading back over it maybe you thought I was referring to them somehow.

But in any event I was not and that should hopefully be clear now.
