Lincoln was absolutely on when he said what he did. This nation has been destoryed by apathy, by parasites who realized they could vote themselves entitlements by putting certain politicans in office, and by bloodsucking politicans who sold their office tot he highest bidder for the sake of obtaining power and retain it.

Mr. Pound is not quite correct in his accessment. Liberty is not a duty it is a right granted by nature's God. Man does however have a duty (responsibility) to defend and protect it if he wants to keep it.

Mr. Kennedy also hits a nail on the head. However, just doing anything everyday, it becomes routine. Life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness have become so routine that many have for got what it took to claim our freedom. Additionally, so many are now so weak minded that they feel they must depend on the politicans for their very life, thus they have sold their freedom for a few bobbles and will ultimately loose both.
