Soldier balks at deploying; says Obama isn’t president
Says he shouldn’t have to go to Afghanistan because Obama is not a U.S. citizen

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, set to deploy to Afghanistan, says he shouldn’t have to go.

His reason?

Barack Obama was never eligible to be president because he wasn’t born in the United States.

Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for his client.

Ethically, the whole U.S. Army could go on strike against being deployed to Afghanistan- for whatever trumped up excuse it cared to.

Except for the following orders part and the fact that the military's not part of the AFL-CIO or Teamsters.

What you and Mr. Zinn don’t seem to understand is that EVERY single member of our military AGREED to join the service; they willingly raised their right hand and swore an oath which includ obeying all but illegal orders of their superiors. What you propose is a crime in the military which is punishable by up to death in a time of war.

Why haven't we seen a birth certificate?

An authentic birth certificate need not be printed on paper at the time of one's birth.

A couple years ago my wife acquired her birth certificate from the Putnam County Clerk. The birth certificate was printed on the day she picked it up- by modern, computerized printing equipment that was non-existent in 1947. That does not make it any less authentic.

Cute.

What it requires is the official seal etc. If you have access to a copy, perhaps you could put it on display somewhere for all those "whackjobs". I do not.

I think the matter could have been put to rest quite easily by making the document available to the court in the original case. It's an easy contraversy for Obama to put to rest. He fueled the flames.

It has long been my personal belief that his mother was an American so he is an American whether he was born in Hawaii, Kenya, or on Neptune.
