I Pledge!
This is by far the most disturbing piece of propaganda I have ever seen. I can't believe it was posted to YouTube back in January I am just seeing it now. Please watch the entire video. I want to know if any of you are as repulsed as some of us in WV's homeschool community are.
Re: I Pledge!
I pledge to do everything I can to replace the Obama regime in 2010 and 2012.

I know you are Sam and I thought of you when I posted it. I really wish you could view this.
Re: I Pledge!
I posted it on facebook and ask 2 very simple questions of which my liberal friends will run from like a scalded dog.

Stephanie, would you like to watch an actual video of
what things were like a 1,000 years ago?
I sure would but not on dial-up.
But you can, to wit:
"Time Team America" Range Creek, Utah
http://video.pbs.org/video/1192787828/
Time Team travels to Utah to search for clues about the lives of the Fremont people.
Steph, this is video of a desolate canyon in Utah that has been a "family secret" for generations and which was only made public 4 years ago.
Everything is "untouched" and just as the Fremont people left it hundreds of years ago. It is the only "time capsule" that has remained untouched for all of these years.
cheers

Re: I Pledge!
I pledge to teach my children that sinful politicians in whatever form are not worth worshipping.
I pledge to flush twice after urinating, thrice after pooping.
I pledge to eat in the least environmentally responsible way possible, pray audibly before meals, and come home from the restaurant in an Escalade pimped out with funky exhausts meant to further increase my carbon footprint.
I pledge to make Fair Trade Coffee a thing of my past. I will only shop at WalMart, only drink coffee at Starbucks, and smoke cigarettes and encourage my children to pick up the habit.
I pledge to fart loudly in public and blame somebody else.
I pledge to pick my nose in traffic jams, and flick the boogers at passersby who catch me picking my nose.
I pledge to put lame moves on my wife in public, and have a parade through Chicago celebrating how much I enjoy porking my wife, condemning those who think my time is better spent elsewhere as "intolerant."
I pledge to think for myself, perhaps the very last thing the present administration wants anybody doing.

Re: I Pledge!
I just made my husband watch that. He was livid, mostly at me for making him watch it. Then he said, "Well there's 4 minutes of my life I'm never gonna get back". lmao
Sammy, I gotta run,but I promise I'll watch that video a bit later. The name of those people seems to ring a bell. I think they may have been discussed in a documentary we watched several months ago.

I'm not disputing that but had the privilege of touring a cliff dwelling on a mesa near Keam's Canyon, AZ that has been continuously inhabited for over two thousand years.

Maybe I stated that unclearly.
What I meant was ........ everything is still there: flints, pottery, etc., etc., etc. lying around on the ground ..... just like the "Fremont" people left it when they left the area or died off long, long time ago.
Most every other such site was looted and disturbed long before any paleoarchelogists ever got around to studying and recording what was originally there.

Re: I Pledge!
I didn't have an issue with what you said. The Hopi's at Keam's Canyon had made their cliff dwelling a "forbidden" city because it had been looted over the years. The Fremont people didn't have to - they obviously left in a hurry.
I can't imagine climbing up to those granaries or living on top of that ridge.
