Somalia’s hardline Islamist group al Shabaab is cracking down on residents who do not follow a strict form of Sharia Islamic law, now publicly whipping women who wear bras, the Times of India reported.

Residents tell the paper that gunmen have been gathering women in Mogadishu who are perceived to have firm busts. These women are then publicly whipped by masked men as punishment for what Islamist leaders call deception.

After the public whippings, the women are forced to remove their bras and shake their breasts, the Times reported.

Some more from the Religion of Peace.

Cops: Arizona Man Ran Down Daughter For Becoming 'Westernized'

PEORIA, Ariz. — Police in a Phoenix suburb are looking for a father suspected of running down his daughter because she was becoming too "Westernized" and was not living according to their traditional Iraqi values.

Police say 48-year-old Faleh Hassan Almaleki of Glendale allegedly ran his daughter down Tuesday at an Arizona Department of Economic Security parking lot in Peoria.

The victim, 20-year-old Noor Faleh Almaleki of Surprise, remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

A second woman, 43-year-old Amal Edan Khalaf, also of Surprise, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police say the women are roommates.

Now, Sam, you know that fundamentalist Christians do that sort of thing ALL THE TIME.

Just last week, I caught my daughter using the washing machine and not washing her burqa by hand, so I took her down to the Evangelical Free church for a thorough whipping. But, having driven her myself and therefore having had been alone with a female in a car, I myself was later stoned by the loya jirga, escaping only when I promised to later blow up some infidels desecrating the prophet Amos.

How about one hundred years ago? Two hundred?

In some states, until 90 years or so ago, you could still legally "correct" your wife with a rod not thicker than your thumb.

Christianity's brutal days aren't so far behind it. In some countries practitioners are still fairly brutal. Your smarmy criticism of islam may not be completely justified.
