The past couple of months it disconnects all the time. I think what's happening it is searches for activity and disconnects you for inactivity, but is demanding too much. I hope that makes sense.
I think I need to find a program to ping it.

You have one, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, whatever.
Go to Tools, select Options, then General and under Send/Receive Messages put a check mark in the box and set the "Check for New Messages" at 1 minute.

PS: you have to keep the E-mail program active at all times and it will "ping" the ISP every 60 sec.

Believe it or not, that isn't fast enough! I've tried! I know it's due to inactivity because it never disconnects while I'm viewing something on YouTube or receiving something large, etc. But in the amount of time it took me to type this is has disconnected and I have to reconnect to send it! grrrr

No

No

I can't speak for the others but you do not understand what I'm saying at all. My stance is that allowing these 5 terrorist access to our constitution and our civilian judicial system is not only wrong as they don't have a right to either, it will do nothing in addressing any of the issues you've brought up.

So now that they've been detained, tortured, and denied access to any legal sytem, you think it's ok to hold secret military tribunals to obtain convictions based in part (if not entirely) upon information obtained through the use of torture?
Sunshine is the best disinfectant.
I have a cellular connection......single income family, two kids in college, two dogs, two cats.........I can't afford Hughs Net!

What rights should they have. They chose the path of war and they are nothing more the POWs. They are not entitled any protections afforded by our constitution. If an when this ever ends most of these people should be stood up and shot or allowed to rot in prison as the murdering swine they are. I agree with Aaron they should not be allowed access to our legal system.
As far as torture goes, war is hell. If you are going to wage war then you have face the consequences of that choice. I have no sympathy for them.

Fine. Give them all the sunshine they need in a military tribunal. No one says it has to be secret. Televise it nationally. Heck for all I care, they can be held in NYC at Ground Zero. But it should be a military tribunal and not a civilian charge. They ARE NOT American citizens and have NO right to our constitution. NONE.
I don't believe Khalid Sheik Mohammad's admittance to guilt is because he had water poured on his face. I think he is someone that hates America and the infidels so much that he would rather die by admitting the truth then live by telling a lie. The convictions are nothing more then a formality no matter which route is taken.
And I certainly don't think that just because they were treated wrong before that we should do a complete 180 and bend over backwards in some noble attempt to do the right thing now. We've tried that and that's how we got stuck with affirmative action, hate crimes, the war on drugs, the war on poverty and about every other government program or policy that attempts to correct a wrong. It's lunacy.
