Mom faces charges in infant's death; body found in trash

A 22-year-old township woman is facing an aggravated manslaughter charge in connection to the asphyxiation death of her newborn child. Keri Barry, of Alps Road, was home alone when she gave birth on Dec. 11 to a full-term baby boy. She did not seek medical attention, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. Her family realized later on that there was a problem and brought her to Chilton Memorial Hospital, in Pompton Plains. Staff there determined that she had recently given birth, Senior Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor Robert Pringle said.

Did she smother the baby before the umbilical cord was cut? If so, then this was a partial birth abortion and the baby was not human, was not alive and could not feel pain. Partial Birth Abortions happen all the time? WHERE'S THE BEEF?
