Watch the Other Hand
While disgraced hanger-on Christopher Dodd puts a vile face on "Wall Street Reform" the source of the financial meltdown quietly seeks another $18 Billion in taxpayer funding to further finance toxic mortgages: http://money.cnn.com/2010/05/10/news/economy/fannie_earnings/index.htm
Still no talk of reforming Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac...
In other news, Francisco Franco is still dead.

Re: Watch the Other Hand
I try to be optimistic, yet still I tremble with fear when I consider just how much more damage can be done before the end of the term.

If Europe tumbles like a row of dominoes and the Euro is discontinued, be very afraid.

Re: Watch the Other Hand
One domino player has fallen.
Democrat Alan Mollohan conceded Tuesday night, ending nearly 28 years in the House. Unofficial returns showed that with 100 percent of precincts reporting, state Sen. Mike Oliverio carried 56 percent of the votes to Mollohan's 44 percent.

How Loyal a Democrat Is Mike Oliverio?

By Jim Geraghty (@nationalreview.com's blog: The Campaign Spot)
“I think we just elected a future party switcher.” — a commenter at Swing State Project, upon learning that the new Democratic candidate in West Virginia’s 1st congressional district, Mike Oliverio, said, “We start every campaign by putting it in God’s hands. And we know that his will shall be done. And if it is his will for us to win, we will win. And if not, he has a higher and better purpose for me somewhere else.”
I’m not sure if that’s why I would suspect Oliverio might switch parties; I think the fact that he doesn’t want to vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House is his biggest resemblance to recent congressional party-switcher Parker Griffith.
