Hope and Change at Justice
I will work to restore the credibility of a department badly shaken by allegations of improper political interference. Law enforcement decisions and personnel actions must be untainted by partisanship. Under my stewardship, the Department of Justice will serve justice, not the fleeting interests of any political party. - AG nominee Eric Holder
In the first sixty days of the Obama administration the Department of Justice won a default judgment against the New Black Panther Party in a voting rights case in Philadelphia. In a video clip three Black Panthers are seen at a polling place with one of the three wielding a stick. They were allegedly hurling racial epithets and intimidating would-be voters. Thirty days after the default judgment (which the Black Panthers failed to appear in court to challenge) political DOJ appointee Loretta King ordered the civil rights division to drop the case indicating there was no evidence to support it.
So the Justice Department will serve justice so long as victims are not white or the fleeting interests are not democrat?
