“We were a big noisy family with a lot of backyard skits and carnivals,” said Ms. O’Donnell, whose mother, Carole, called her Chrissy the Pooh and whose father, Daniel, worked a series of small television roles before scoring his signature gig — playing Bozo the Clown.

Christine O’Donnell’s career has played out in what might seem like a big sound studio: as a spokeswoman for conservative social causes, a serial candidate for office and, most recently, as the unlikely Republican nominee for Senate in Delaware.

I think Castle was the republican she beat (and was pretty likely to beat the democrats) and Coons is the democrat.

The fact that he isn't as well known is because he isn't as much the attention whore that O'Donnell is.

I agree. I didn't say he wasn't an attention whore, I said he was less of one than his opponent. He, for instance, hasn't appeared on MTV... O'Donnell has. She has been pitching herself since the late 90's.

I don't hate her, I feel sorry for her. She is in over her head.

Her pandering to the national spotlight, however, puts her on MY TV, justifying any criticism I should like to give. She put herself in that position, not I.

I'm surprised you all don't hate her, though. For years her highest (and apparently only) aspiration has been to become an elected official.

No career, just running for office, constantly, and, it would seem, living off of campaign funds.

As an aside, just as I predicted, the RNC paid Palin's legal fees from the ethics charges. So bootstrappy to use public funds for your personal bills.

The national media went seeking her out. As a candidate, why wouldn't she choose to make herself available to any free media exposure she could get. To do otherwise would be stupid.

Once she realized the it was no longer beneficial to her Senate Campaign, she stopped speaking to the national media.

But that is neither here nor there, I was simply pointing out to you as to why she is on YOUR TV.

I understand why you hate her. What I'm saying to you is at least be honest. To make shit up when we all know the truth reflects poorly on you.
