MSNBC host Keith Olbermann was put on indefinite suspension Friday after bosses at the cable news network learned that he had donated to three Democratic candidates, including one who had appeared on his show on the same day, in violation of the network's rules.

The three candidates who received the maximum legal amount of $2,400 are Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords, both of Arizona and both who won tough re-election bids. Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway was the third recipient. He lost to Republican Rand Paul.

I don't think Olberman should have been fired. I think this is MSNBC desperately trying to find relevance.

He broke the contract he had with MSNBC.

I thought the basis of capitalism was honoring contracts?

As the wronged party, MSNBC could have ignored the matter.

Note that I don't think MSNBC should be legally compelled to do my wishes. that is your game, Terry, not mine. I just think they made the wrong decision.

I just hope he ends up on Sirus and not back at ESPN. He was better at partisan politics then he was the news and that's not saying very much.

Then why the outrage? He broke his contract and MSNBC felt he could no longer work for them. I think it is a mistake. How many millions did FOX pour into various campaigns? Big deal. Apparently MSNBC feels differently.

Since you want to hit me about my "game", answer me this, would blacks still be drinking from separate water fountains in the south if the government hadn't stepped in?

NEW YORK — MSNBC says Keith Olbermann will be back on the air Tuesday, ending his suspension for violating NBC's rules against making political donations after two shows.

MSNBC's chief executive Phil Griffin said late Sunday that after several days of deliberation, he had determined that two days off the air was "an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy."

Basically the ratings didn't change and one talking head liberal is no different then another so they're bringing him back. Had he contributed to a conservative candidate though, you can bet he would have been gone.

Pure tripe.

TerryRC,

How is being black like being religious in any way (other than legally speaking?)

Let me ask you this, Terry. Should someone seeking a spouse be prohibited from insisting on that person being a Christian/Muslim/atheist/Jew etc? Why not? They would be, clearly, roommates?
