I went to the eye doctor last year and my vision slipped. Seems at 45 years of age, it's now 20/20. And if you can find ANYTHING that Sam's said that's clearly obvious, I'll buy you a General Burger.

An incorrect statment can't be obvious. He should be so lucky to be compared to me thus it's not an insult, it's a compliment, even for the great Sam Co-Gar.

I say that knowing my flaws so if you like, you can buy me a General Burger at the Dairy Freeze in Winfield.

I think we should take a poll of the observers. Who thinks Sam was being obvious?

I'll take my burger double, everything on it with a side of fries and a large diet Pepsi. I know, it's a conflict but once you get used to Diet, you can't go back.

Please, I'm getting ganged up on at home. I have two Loyds home today instead the usual one. If that joint serves Pepsi products and no iced coffee, I want to select the location of my luncheon, tyvm.

I think you should so some research on the laws regarding wagering. And it may be coke products, I don't know. If it is, I'll take Diet.

Of course, if you're up to driving to Gallipolis, Oh, the Parkfront Diner and Bakery has one of the best burgers around although I'm not a huge fan of their fries. But for $5.00 you can get a special that comes with chips and sweet tea. Or their's a great diner at Mt. Alto that has a mean steak sammich. Or theirs a nice diner in Ravenswood but they close at like 2:30 so that would have to be lunch. Or we could go to a diner south of Point Pleasant that's got some good food. Or their's always the diner across the Buffalo Bridge. Just let me know and I'll keep my bill under 10 bones. If you're lucky I'll take you for a ride on my new scooter.

It should be quite obvious to the elders on this Forum that you are quickly approaching the age that you will obviously need Reading Glasses.

Probably Sam as I'm the only person in my immediate family that's made it past 25 with no reading glasses. Added to the fact that I'm diabetic and sooner or later it'll catch up with me and I'll have to get me some spectacles.

Of course, I'll still be politically savy, possess an ability to comprehend what I read and remain unaffraid to be wrong but then that's a given. Too bad you can't say the same, huh.

Since I have your attention (for the time being-thank God for the meds dude) how bout telling me what we should do with Muammar Gaddafi? Should we take him out even if that means a ground war or do we just continue to bomb him. And regarding our forces, do we retain control of command of our forces or do we turn them over to the French as some are suggesting.

What pray do you and your VISIONARIES have in store for us as a nation and what lies are instore?

Also, as you're the smartest man alive, I'm interested in what you think should happen regarding Alex' ticket I described in the basket. Or are you going to get your panties in a wad and not answer?

Really now Aaron, why should I bother telling you anything concerning my opinion of how the Muammar Gaddafi situation should have been or now should be handled when you know damn well you have no intentions of considering anything which I might suggest or imply?

Me thinks you have worked yourself up into a really pouty, pissy faced mood and your only intentions are now to "get even" by destroying my crediability and proving me wrong.

That ain't gonna happen so you might as well face reality and accept the fact that you are still young enough to learn a few things.

And I don't know what you are talking about "regarding Alex' ticket", ..... but I will check it out to see if it is worthwhile for me commenting on.

I don't have to destroy your credibility Sam... Razz Razz Razz

And the Alex situation is in the basket. A decision has been made and I just curious as to what others thoughts are as to what should be done but if you're a skeered of getting it wrong and further harming your credibility, I understand. .

And you don't have to be a pain-in-the-ass Horse's Ass, either, ......

but that doesn't stop you from being one when you get all pouty, pierty and pissy faced when someone proves you are clueless on an issue.

I'm anything but pouty, pierty and pissy faced Sam. I rather enjoy your mindless rants and ramblings. And while I will concede that if you were to prove me clueless on an issue that I possibly could get pouty, pierty and pissy faced as my history has proven otherwise and as your record for proving others clueless is miniscule, I just don't really see that happening.

But hey, anything's possible, right. After all, I think someone who we all know is a legend in his own time (or is that a legend in his own mind???) once said that even a broke clock is right twice a day so you never know.

I do have one more (likely unanswered) question for you old dude.

What’s the difference between being a horse’s ass and a devils advocate?

Now what is wrong with iced coffee? Oh yes, everything.I had no idea of the spot in Winfield, by the way. We must all congregate there.

This is likely not the place for this venting, but since we're all blowing off steam.....

One of the universities at which I teach put on the website a plea to stop drinking bottled water. This struck me as silly immediately, and then I went to the bookstore and the vending machines and found....bottled water. In rage against the hypocrisy of the institution (another teacher has a Jeep Cherokee with the bumper sticker telling others to "Go Green) I promptly went to Kroger, bought a case of water, and then handed out the bottled water for correct answers in class.

'I'm confused.' - Page 4 Horses-ass1

Origin: During the canonization process of the Roman Catholic Church, the Promoter of the Faith (Latin: promotor fidei), popularly known as the Devil's advocate (Latin: advocatus diaboli), was a canon lawyer appointed by Church authorities to argue against the canonization of the candidate.[1] It was their job to take a skeptical view of the candidate's character, to look for holes in the evidence, to argue that any miracles attributed to the candidate were fraudulent, etc. The Devil's advocate opposed God's advocate (Latin: advocatus Dei; also known as the Promoter of the Cause), whose task is to make the argument in favor of canonization.

I didn't ask for a definition of a devils advocate. I know what that is.

My point is that if someone acts in a devils advocate role with an opinion that differs from yours, you claim they are a horse’s ass. However, when you raise questions, you claim to be a devils advocate.

Me thinks you're a who lot more of the former and very little of the latter yet for some reason you want to think otherwise.

Me, I have no problem being an ass. I say what I mean, mean what I say and don't have much use for weaslewording and those who try to be something they aren't.

You're awesome! lol When students arrive at Bethany for orientation, they are given a really nice Bethany water bottle. That's part of their effort to "go green". They also have a week where they don't use trays in the cafeteria. UC completely eliminated those trays about 3 years ago. Not only does it save water etc on washing the trays, my husband says there is a LOT less food waste.

I LOVE iced coffee. I don't think that Dairy Freeze serves it and I don't like Pepsi. I'm a diet Coke drinker. Aaron is right...I've been known to eat a Whopper with cheese, no ketchup, no onions, heavy mayo with fries and a diet Coke. Thing is, I don't like diet Pepsi. picky, picky, picky...
