Did you see Debby What's Her Name Schultz, a woman who signals her disdain for American paternalism by using her Father's name, answering Wolf Blitzer's question, "How can you say Ryan's plan 'ends Medicare as we know it' when Obama has gutted Medicare to the tune of $719 billion?". Eight times she answered the question, "Ryan's radical and extreme plan ends Medicare as we know it."

Did Blitzer show her for the ignorant ditz she is? Or did she accomplish her goal by uttering the democrat talking point eight times? You be the judge.

Is this what Mr Limbaugh refers to as a "random act of journalism?" I hear that many are turning on Obama and the Democrats, but I have not yet seen much of this.

Apparently, Sheik, it requires a great leap of faith (despite all the documentary evidence) to accept that Obama has ended Medicare as we know it by gutting Medicare to the tune of $716 billion. Krauthammer says that fully one in six hospitals will lock their doors. I think arriving at the number of physicians who will simply stop accepting Medicare patients (new or long-standing) is, at best, a wild guess. I'll bet it's a pretty tall number...

I'm not sure I'd call it journalism. If Ms Wasserman Schultz cannot pay a modicum of grudging respect to the truth her value as a guest will plummet. That would be nearly as welcome as a random act of journalism.

By the time most Medicare reipiants figure out what is really happening and convince themselves of that fact ....... they will never live long enough to ever see anything done about re-instating the healthcare that they have become accoustomed to but now being deprived of.

And the "babyboomers" who are currently planning on and/or just now retiring are going to be sadly dissappointed the 1st time they need the services of a healthcare provider.

I agree, OC, that the damage done to Medicare recipients by doctors stopping providing is significant and unrealized by Democratic supporters. How can the Republicans do a better job of demonstrating this to a largely disinterested yet easily manipulated public? Krauthammer speaks very well but he hasn't been elected to anything and isn't running for anything.
