HAPPY THANKSGIVING
There is a difference between being thankful and thanksgiving. One is an emotion that one feels when something good happens to one's self.
However, thanksgiving is an act of praise and worship for the One who gave the blessing. Ten lepers were healed by Jesus in Luke 17. All ten were thankful to be healed; but, Luke 17:11-19 states (v.17) "And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger (a Samaritan!)."
Ten got a blessing and were thankful; BUT, v.19 only one was made whole (Gk: sozo = saved!). Are you just thankful--or will you give thanks this Thanksgiving Day for your salvation and all His benefits?
